Ambition: Strategy War Game App Reviews

True fans of ww2 strategy games and/or axis and allies board game will absolutely love this game. Simple, easy to learn gameplay and user friendly game controls keeps the players focused on the most important and fun part: strategy. If there is only one game to keep on my iphone/ipad it will be ambition!

The game is fun and getting better. There was down time with the transfer to the new company. That should get resolved and this is a great game.

Ive played various online versions of Axis and Allies for 20 years. Ambition is faster and less buggy than any other A&A online game. Not perfect, but certainly not as bad as the 1 star ratings some DBs are giving it. Lighten up, Francis! If you play Axis and Allies, youll love it. A good app with a great community, worth every penny.

Better than axis and allies board game

This app is incredible. Get over the current server issues. Take a jog. This app is the best strategy war game in the App Store by far. If you love strategy war games or the classics board game Axis & Allies you will love this game!

The classic A&A board game with cool map and unit variations all on a mobile platform with a friendly interface! Caution - this may cause procrastination and distraction from other pursuits in life.

Updated review - this is a great game. New owners are addressing server issues. Be patient and give them time. Great for playing on line or hot seat. No AI. Developers are very responsive to user requests. Highly recommended.

This app is what Ive been looking for for months, and when I found it, it was something better than I couldve imagined. I love the online play, and cant wait for expansions.

4 stars because there is plenty of room for improvement. This is a very good re-imagining of the classic board game Axis & Allies. If you enjoyed the board game you will love this app. There are some bugs but nothing game breaking. They need to add bidding and a tournament system, fix the bugs, and upgrade the servers and then this game will be AMAZING! In the meantime I still love playing the game, and hope you will buy the game so I can wreck you. Look me up I play as Booyah.

I was a big fan of Axis and Allies. This game allows my friends and I to play and strategize with the chat feature. Next best thing to getting together for a night of strategy board games. Look at the reviews for all of the versions before deciding to try this. The app was acquired by a new company and there are some bugs they are working out. They made the mistake of not communicating the status of the work regularly with the players and a lot of people responded by giving 1 star ratings. The game is back up and running again. If you like strategy board games like Risk and Axis and Allies you will enjoy this app.

So glad there is an axis and allies mobile game. There have been issues lately, but we should give new ownership the benefit of the doubt. The game is only four bucks and if youre an axis and allies fan, then youll appreciate this app. Play conveniently as you go with your friends. Dont have to schedule a 12 hour evening for the board game.

The game was sold and the new owners are terrible. After a 10 day outage in response to our dropping the rating of the game they chose to make threats instead of apologies. The game is fun, but the new owners are 1 star.

Perfect axis and allies map plus 4 new maps. New maps also include new pieces. Worth twice the price!

I really like it when a game I love is temporarily taken down so it can be improved upon for a better gaming experience long term.

For anyone one whos ever played the board game this app is amazing. Play 10 games at a time easy. Lots of different maps. 1941 is the best.

I love this App, if only because I love the original board game "Axis and Allies". Ambition is the only app I know of that has brought "Axis and Allies" into the digital world. That said, I have zero respect for "Team Ambition". A recent transition period for the App was fumbled by "Team Ambition", resulting in a (currently) unplayable game. Instead of acknowledging their responsibility, "Team Ambition" blamed anyone possible but themselves and asked their constituents to be faithful until they figure out a solution. If Ayn Rand were in charge of Apple Apps, "Ambition" would have been wiped out by more nimble competitors months ago, but until a competitor arises, Ill keep playing ambition.

Great game. Game crashes are far less then original. Multi-person play is cool.

UPDATED REVIEW: Branchenking purchased the app and after 2 weeks of the server being down many players went and wrote bad reviews. Rightfully so. They told us 48 hours, it went 2 weeks without hearing from them. Now after all the bad reviews the app is back up on the old crappy server that skips turns and crashes. They have asked us to go back and change our 1 star reviews and have basically threatened us with no advancements in game quality or game play if we didnt. Thats not how this works branchenking Ltd. You make it better we make it better. Especially after the sale of the app. 1 star until they fix the glitches and server issues. I again DO NOT recommend ANY Branchenking Ltd apps at this time after the way they have treated everyone that plays this game.

If youve ever played axis and allies, get this app. Great strategy game, and with customized rule books youre able to create even more replay ability.

Im quite aware of the bugs and issues that resulted from the recent purchase and migration of the app and wasnt happy about it. At the same time, I also read the new owners message today and Im inclined to give them a chance to correct and move upward.
