Good game

Basically the same game as Axis & Allies which was a game I really enjoyed when I was younger and used to play a lot. Only downside is you cannot play as one of the nations against an AI but must play as all nations if playing in the offline mode.

No AI

There is no single play mode vs. A.I. You can play axis and allies against yourself though...

Great!

Finally an Axis&Allies for iPad! If u like the board game just cant miss it. It need to be improve with more maps and a good ia for the single player.

Great Axis & Allies game!

I love the game, and the fact that you can play with people all over the world. Also, you take your turn at your convenience. An AI would be helpful for beginners, so that you can get more used to the mechanics, and the basic set up moves. But, after that stage, most AIs are pretty limited anyway, so, its more fun playing with people anyway.

Awesome but,

The game is great but every time I battle the chart shrinks and I cant click on the people or see them. Please fix this problem. Also Im using an IPhone 4s to play your wonderful game. Thanks for reading

Good for people who like Axis and Allies

This game attempts to re-create the old tabletop game with some added improvements, and mostly succeeds. It has no AI( fine by me) so your games will be pass and play or MP online, but solo games will be you playing all nations. The app is a bit buggy, with my first game skipping a couple players turns and preventing Pearl Harbor from being attacked. I think a more robust "always online" system would improve our confidence that players cant cheat on dice rolls. The app has several map variants and allow asynchronous play, with two maps requiring IAP. I think thats a good monetization model. Its easy to set up an account and I recruited some old buddies to play remotely. Very cool! The devs seem dedicated to updating and improving, so I look forward to seeing this game get a bit more polish.

Add AI

Add AI and Id go five stars.

Good game but...

Im enjoying the game, but twice now Ive had units just vanish off the board mid-move (non-combat) and never come back.

Solid A&A Reboot!

The game is a great rendition of the classic Axis and Allies game. Very addicting and I love the fact you can play players from all over and it tracks your overall win/loss stats. The game still has bugs though and will skip turns or freeze a unit you are trying to move and constantly mentions "Network Error" when there isnt one. Overall - very solid though!

Fantastic game!!!

What a great game. Highly recommend especially if you are a fan of the board game Axis and Allies.

Outstanding

I have been looking for an easy way to play a&a with friends. This is it. Awesome game.

Great game for fans of Axis & Allies

Axis & Allies fans will enjoy this mobile version of the classic board game.

Great game!

Just like the old board game, easy to use too!

Up a star!

Having played Axis and Allies for 20 years, this is the app I have been waiting a long, long time for! I gave the earlier version 3-stars because it still was pretty buggy and players found ways to cheat, but most of those bugs have been fixed and its getting better all the time. But you still need to be pretty intuitive because this app will give you the rules of the game but it wont actually tell you how the app works. A little help with the operation of the app would take it all the way to 5 stars.

Your in disbelief because you think youve FINALLY FOUND Axis & Allies the arcade game...

... BUT YOU HAVE NOT!!! It looks a lot like it, and the sad part is, these developers believe that they are actually giving you Axis & Allies... THEY ARE NOT! I just wasted $4 and I really feel like I was just robbed or scammed. So here is what you are actually looking to buy here: 1) If you want to play A&A by yourself thinking there is A.I. to play against... NO, besides nobody in the world offers that on mobile for anything relatively close to A&A... The only game that comes close is made by "Herocraft" called world war 2 something or other. That plays well but even that aint that good cuz your limited to 12 units total per territory, which is dumb. 2) If you are hoping to play other people, I hope you have friends that like to pass your device around to do that, but thats only if you are fine with a pre-setup board! With limited functionality coupled with complex functionality that IS there. Youre gonna get annoyed and frustrated really fast. 3) The actual Axis & Allies is a very complex game with a really thick rule book... How much authenticity would you expect out of a mobile game? The conversion into a mobile game needs a very elaborate user interface. Whatever you wanna call this, doesnt have that. LASTLY) IF, you want to play other people online, you have to register an account with an email yadda-yadda then I hope you have friends who all wanna play this too who are willing to tolerate that you lied to them by telling them you can play A&A on a mobile device because "this" is far from it. Its just too difficult to get passed the user interface from something that wants you to believe your playing A&A. It really looks like a rushed product that was not thought through very well by people who have never played the actual game before. Dont believe me? Read their description thoroughly! Look for what they legally call this game about how vague they describe stuff... Maybe this review will force them to update all that.

Outstanding!

Axis & Allies! Perfect!

Freeze Bug Kills Turn

First couple games ok. Last game froze three time and even after a game restart it froze again. If you are in combat and a freeze happens you restart the game. It moves you to non-combat with no combat round played. Kills you game play. I have deleted this game.

Yes its not perfect, but its pretty darn close

It takes a short time to figure it out and play with, but a test game or two will get you up and running. I was surprised that is has a decently high ability to customize the game, with multiple maps and a lot of the newer units. Why I didnt rate it a 5 star? I would really like for there to be an option for weapons development as an option in the customizable rule book. Also the user interface could improve to make it more user-friendly but its pretty good already.

No AI

There is no playing alone, unless you want to play each and every country. What kind of people create a game these days that cant be played solo against computer opponent? Flounder Apps, appropriately named.

Finally!

As a lifetime Axis and Allies player this is the game Ive waited for forever! And its even better than the board game! The only reason Im not giving it 5 stars is that youll need to be pretty intuitive to figure out how to play because itll give you the rules but very little operating instructions.
